Compliance & Audit Officer
About the role
Yesability is seeking a Compliance & Audit Officer to join our team on a part-time basis. This critical role will be responsible for ensuring our disability support services across the state. We are registered providers for the NDIS maintaining full compliance with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) regulations and guidelines.
What you’ll be doing
- Conducting regular audits and reviews of our NDIS-funded services to identify areas of non-compliance
- Developing and implementing corrective action plans to address any issues and maintain compliance
- Liaising with internal teams to provide guidance and support on NDIS compliance requirements
- Preparing detailed reports for management on the organisation’s compliance status
- Staying up-to-date with changes to NDIS rules, regulations and best practices
- Assisting with NDIS registration and re-registration processes as needed
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar compliance or audit role, within the disability sector
- Strong understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards framework and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of NDIS requirements related to specialist therapy services, PBS, OT, speech therapy
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve compliance issues
- Ability to communicate complex compliance information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Highly organised with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a related field (e.g. Quality Assurance, Compliance, Auditing)
